The treating dentist will determine the most suitable treatment plan and protocol for your individual needs following a comprehensive clinical examination and evaluation of your dental X-rays.
Please refrain from taking the following medications 2 weeks prior to your surgery: Aspirin, ASS (acetylsalicylic acid), Thomapyrin, Ecopyrin, Alka-Seltzer, Marcumar, as well as any other blood-thinning medications.
Furthermore, providing details of any pre-existing conditions, current illnesses, and any medications you are currently taking is of the utmost importance.
Please refrain from consuming alcohol or recreational drugs for at least 3 days prior to your surgery.
If you are taking medication for any chronic or acute condition (such as diabetes, heart disease, high or low blood pressure, tuberculosis, etc.), please ensure you inform the dentist prior to your procedure.
Starting one week before your surgery, you must stop taking beta-blockers, MAO inhibitors (such as Aurorix), and blood-thinning medications (such as Heparin and Coumadin). If you have taken any of these medications within this period, please inform our physician immediately.
Please note the following on the day of your treatment:
Please discontinue the use of any multivitamin supplements containing vitamins B and E starting one week prior to your surgery. These vitamins can increase the risk of bleeding.
You must stop smoking 24 hours prior to your surgery. If you are unable to do so, please ensure that you reduce your smoking to an absolute minimum. Nicotine consumption significantly delays the healing process and increases the risk of infection.
