Your head may experience swelling that can extend down to your eyelids and even to the tip of your nose. Please be assured that swelling is a completely normal response after the transplant and may persist for 3 to 5 days following the procedure. You should drink plenty of water to help gently reduce the swelling.

Itching is a natural part of the healing process.

The transplanted area may appear reddish for up to 6 to 9 months following the procedure.

Numbness may also persist for 3 to 5 months; please be assured that this is a completely normal part of the recovery process.

Hair washing instructions following your hair transplant

On the 3rd day following your hair transplant, once the crusts have formed and the scalp is completely dry, you may wash your hair for the first time. From the 3rd day onward, you must wash your hair daily until the crusts have fully shed. Please carefully follow the instructions below.

STEP 1

First, apply the lotion to your hand and distribute it over the transplanted area by gently dabbing it onto your scalp. Please avoid any rubbing or pressure on the transplanted site. Leave the lotion on to absorb for 15 minutes.

STEP 2

After a 15-minute application period, wash your entire head (including the transplanted area and the donor site) using the Hair Vital Shampoo. Wet your hair with lukewarm water and lather the shampoo in your hands. Then, apply it to your entire head by gently and carefully tapping it onto the scalp.

STEP 3

It is of the utmost importance that during the washing phase of your hair wash, the water is lukewarm and applied with low pressure. Please avoid applying any pressure to your head with your fingers while washing.

STEP 4

Finally, allow your hair to air dry or gently pat it dry with a towel (avoid using a hairdryer), and refrain from rubbing or scratching the scalp.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Avoid touching the transplanted area. By applying the lotion and shampoo as directed, the dried crusts on the transplanted area will be softened and gently removed.

After 2 weeks, you may resume washing your hair as you did prior to the transplantation. If you have any remaining Hair Vital Shampoo or Hair Vital Lotion, you may continue to use these products until they are completely finished.

Hair care during the recovery phase

Day 3 post-operation:

You may now begin washing your hair. Please refer to the section "Hair Washing After Hair Transplantation" for detailed instructions on how to wash your hair and how to use the hair vitalizing products.

Day 5 post-operation:

Your prescribed course of medication is now complete.

Day 10 post-operation:

You must wash your head daily (starting from the 3rd day), as described in the "Hair Washing After Hair Transplantation" instructions. Additionally, you are required to submit your photos from the 10th day after the surgery for evaluation. It is expected that the scabs will have fallen off by the 7th or 8th day. By the 12th day, all scabs should be completely gone.

It is to be expected that the transplanted hair will shed, which is a completely normal part of the process. Starting from the 3rd month, the new hair will gradually begin to regrow, initially appearing quite fine.

During the first three months, you must not touch the transplanted grafts. For your safety and optimal recovery, please do not shave your head or have your hair cut during this period.

The newly transplanted hair (often referred to as "baby fuzz") will shed after a short period. These hairs are still weak and are naturally cast off by the body. This is a completely normal part of the healing process. The amount of hair shed varies from person to person and is influenced by several factors, including scalp circulation, scalp sensitivity, the grafts themselves, and any medication being taken.

Between the 3rd and 6th month following your surgery:

You should only trim your hair using scissors. Currently, your hair is in the resting phase. The recovery period for the grafts is complete, and new, healthy hair is beginning to grow.

From the 6th month onward:

The active growth phase begins. The new hair strands will become thicker and stronger. After the end of the 6th month, you can have your hair styled and cut as desired. The final results of your hair restoration will be fully visible 12 months post-transplantation.
